Beacon Mental Health Services

Beacon Health Options (Beacon) announced today that the Washington State Health Care Authority has awarded the company a behavioral health administrative services contract in the “Early Adopter” Southwest Washington Regional Service Area (RSA). In April 2016, Clark and Skamania counties will become the first counties in the state to provide integrated, whole-person care to Apple Health (Medicaid) clients. As part of this new system, Beacon will administer behavioral health crisis services for all individuals in this RSA regardless of their insurance status or income level, as well as additional non-crisis services for eligible individuals who lack insurance coverage.

Beacon will partner with ProtoCall Services to provide a 24/7/365 regional crisis hotline. Additionally, it will partner with county agencies, managed care organizations, providers, and other community stakeholders to offer an accessible system of crisis response and mental health and substance use disorder services for eligible individuals.

“The services provided through the behavioral health ASO will help thousands of Southwest Washington region residents live a life of recovery, resiliency and independence, ” said Briana Duffy, Senior Vice President, National Client Partnerships–Western Region for Beacon Health Options. “It is gratifying to know that we can help the Washington State Health Care Authority ensure that high-quality behavioral health services are easily accessible to those who need them.”
